Christopher Zek is a coach, author, and guide whose work focuses on helping men dismantle the survival identities formed early in life and return to grounded presence, integrity, and self-leadership.
Before stepping into coaching and authorship, Christopher lived multiple high-performance lives—as a professional athlete, entrepreneur, and leader—experiences that shaped his understanding of discipline, ambition, and the quiet cost of performance when identity becomes conditional. Over time, his work evolved beyond success metrics into deeper psychological, relational, and developmental terrain.
Christopher’s approach bridges attachment theory, nervous system science, embodied practice, and masculine initiation. His writing and teaching emphasize responsibility without shame, structure without rigidity, and depth without abstraction. Rather than offering motivation or self-optimization, his work invites men into a process of remembrance—recovering what was buried beneath adaptation and achievement.
He is the founder of the Unmasked framework, a body of work designed to help men recognize survival strategies, reclaim emotional truth, and live with presence rather than performance.
Christopher is a devoted father to two daughters, a role that continues to inform his understanding of responsibility, presence, and generational healing. When he’s not writing or working with clients, he can often be found sailing his boat, Amulet—a practice that mirrors much of his philosophy: attention, humility, responsiveness, and respect for forces larger than oneself. At times, his three-legged, one-eyed cat Kiki quietly joins him, settled nearby or on his lap—a reminder that resilience, trust, and companionship often arrive in unexpected forms.
